Stepping out Today--Romance Lives Forever

Juli's tweet screengrab
Good morning, ya'll. I hope you're doing well. I am. Sorta, except for the fact that I did too much yesterday and my hands are paying for it. (Do I whine about this too much? I'm sorry). If you don't suffer any kind of hand/forearm carpal tunnely type pain, believe me, it sucks!!!

Anyway, what have I done? Not too damned much, at least on the new idea that's percolating in my head. I have an opening scene but I'm trying a new plotting method. Oh joy! Let's hope it pays off. In the meantime, though, some good news, I've got the next Celtic Stewards Chronicles novel off to my editor as of yesterday. Ya!! So stay tuned. That will be coming...er, when it comes. hopefully before Halloween (a good conservative estimate, but hopefully doable). I'll let you know when it's up, of course.

In the meantime,  I thought I'd pop in here to say I'm guest at the Romance Lives Forever blog today talking about my experiences turning my LADY OF THE TAROT, into an audiobook! Do join us, y'all! You can find the interview here: https://rlfblog.com/juli-d-revezzo-0717/

I hope to see y'all there. I'm also brainstorming new posts, so be on the look out for those in the future. And as ever, I hope you have a lovely day!

Sunday--where is my transporter? #authorblogs #SundayBlogShare #BloggersBlast

Sunday Post was conceived by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Here we are, Sunday again, and I do hope y'all are having a good one. Life has been...well, the usual, these days. Mostly staying inside away from the heat. Reading. I'm partially done with an audiobook I've been chunking away at. I did some work on some guest posts (one up today here at Romance Lives Forever, and one Friday at vvb32Reads, if you'd like to see them.) I've also finished the next stage of revising my next book.

There are even thoughts of the next one. :)

This week saw the Summer Solstice, of course. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to Stonehenge again this year, like some of my blogging friends. Alas, that dream still remains unfulfilled (where is my transporter, damn it!)

I forget if I mentioned this here, did I tell y'all I bundled Reign of Tarot? Yes, aside from now having the nifty cool audiobook of Lady of the Tarot, now that the series (duology) is finished, I've made a box set. If you'd like to get both REIGN OF TAROT books for the price of one, you can find it at Amazon.

What else did I do this week? Well, I got a book or two.

On the fiction side:

Thief's Blade by C. Greenwood,
Changeling: An Appalachian Magic Novel Book 2 (Appalachian Magic Series) by Debbie Herbert
Nefertiti's Heart (The Artifact Hunters Book 1) by A. W. Exley

and a few non-fiction titles:  Buried Cities, Complete Pompeii, Olympia, Mycenae by Jennie Hall. It's an old one, but if you read my posts from the last week, its subject has piqued my interest.

Nothing too exciting (depending on your point of view) ;).

Also Gods of Stonehenge by J.P. Reedman

Are we sensing a theme here? I wish I had a transporter, I'd probably be here and there and all over the place, every single week.

But oh no!

Here we are in futuristic 2017 and we have no bloody transporters! Come on, science people! You've had fifty-three years to work the problem. It's time to catch up with the science fiction writers.;)

(We'll get there. According to this, we are.) I would just prefer it to, you know, flying. Of course, there is the danger that if I do go to, oh, Naples, Pompeii, Ireland, or Stonehenge, my husband might have a hell of a time getting me to come back! ;)

Anyway!

Posts from last week.
A dandy new review for House of Dark Envy that I had to post about here.
My 3 greatest strengths/weaknesses/doubts
Summer Solstice
Oh and I posted a review for my last read on my book blog for A Victorian Grimoire by Patricia Telesco.

Anyway, that's been my week. This week I've got some posts scheduled up as I'll be hunkering down doing final work on the book. Yes, that's right, the new book will be coming soon! By next Sunday, even, if all goes well.
I even have a cover to show you. *rubs hands gleefully* Stay tuned!

And, in order to link on those two sites, here's a picture (are we sick of silly pictures yet? Although, I have to admit, thus coffee cup by kaboompics.com is cute. ;)):

Have a good week, y'all!

New review for House of Dark Envy

Hi everyone. I hope you're doing well. I am writing my fingers off and will have a new book for you soon! Literally fingers off. I ended up hurting again Friday and Saturday and had to take a few days away (so no typing blog posts for me!).

I also got whacked with a little sideline research that I have no idea what I'm going to do with except that it's one of those things that may or may not be only cool to me. What, if anything, the ole muse makes out of it, only time will tell.

Grr... But the book is in it's final final pre-flight check round, and I hope to have it done... before or after July 4th.

In the meantime, I've found a great review for House of Dark Envy that I wanted to share with you.

From Twitch at Night Owl Reviews:

"I found the story between the pages to be a great read. I cannot help but like the history lessons in some of the story lines. I had no clue how the story or mystery was going to end. Overall there are great twists and turns...I would actually love to read more from this author." ~ Twitch

Cool, huh? Thanks, Twitch and everyone at Night Owl Reviews. :)

Folks, if you've read, and enjoyed the book, please leave a review at Amazon (or on your blog, or both). More are always welcome!

These early days of the new year

Sunday Post was conceived by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

For a quick Sunday post, this week has been busy with revisions and looking over my journals for what I've written up so far this month. Paper journals. I'm already full of plans for ye old books, and happy to report I'm further ahead than I expected to be but then, most of my work was done by new year's eve, so technically, it's just continuing.

I also--unofficially--took a page from Bloggiesta and have pre-scheduled some posts. So, look for those this week, (and coming weeks). If you're a longtime follower of this blog--except for guest posts--you know I usually fly by the seat of my pants (like with this post, *coughcough*) so pre-writing blog posts engages a new thought process for me. I guess trying to plot that Nanowrimo book last November paid off elsewhere. We shall see if I can stick to that.

In between that, I acquired a new camera that I've been learning its ins and outs. If you follow me on Instagram,I'm sure you've seen some of my photographic attempts already. I've been playing with it just on manual--and I'm tickled pink that I now have that option, but! I will say, after years of using a fully automatic point-and-shoot, there's a bit of a learning curve, switching to manual.

But it is a new thing to learn, and ya'll know I like that.

What I'm not sure I can do, blogging about my life being a bit more loosey-goosey,  is make a schedule and stick to it. Sure, there are certain things that fit on certain days; for instance, Music and movie posts seem to naturally fit on Monday, despite the meme title "Shuffle Saturday". They've always been Monday subjects for me, and I'd rather just keep it that way (see "trying to get posts scheduled" above), and naturally, the Sunday Post, will have to stay, well, on Sunday. I've also always liked, when I have them, to host guest authors on Mondays or at latest Wednesdays (preferably Monday, even though it conflicts with Music/Movie Monday). Let's face it, I don't always have anything to say about movies or music once a bloody week. I've been trying to get away from reviewing, altogether, anyway. More time for writing important stuff, like books! :) So...freeform babbling is (trying) to become my new friend. :) But never fear, that schedule will stay the same going forward.

Design.
I would also like to (I know, I know) tweak this bloody boring template a little more. That's going to take some serious looking into code, which takes time away from (see last point) actual writing. We'll see. I was able to tweak the font size (I think?) which has always been too small for my tastes. I hope it helps a bit. There might be a few wonky lines here and there while I figure out what all in the individual posts need fixing thanks to this tweak. (I hate CSS, don't you?!?)

So that's me so far this month. My blogger friends, how are y'all doing with your plans?

Happy Black Friday/writing weekend. #smallbizsat #ShopSmall #smallbusinesssaturday #BloggersBlast

Gratitude is the sign of noble souls. Aesop

Good morning, all! I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving (for my friends here in the states who celebrate it)

As most of you, I spent Wednesday in the kitchen and Thursday with family. Friday...? Well, I do not like the crowds so I try to stay in and off the streets. :) We enjoyed our free day.  Alas, no I don't invest in Netflix here so I have not seen the Gilmore Girls reboot--so no spoilers in the comments, please! We're hoping like mad (lighting candles, sacrificing hobbits and dwarves) that they'll get their act together and release the episodes to DVD. And yeah, there may've been some thousands of words worth of writing. :) I told ya, I very rarely take a day off.

Geeze Louise, is it Thanksgiving weekend all ready???

What am I grateful for?  My family and friends of course, you all, my readers. Those that read and love my stories. (Thank you!!) The good weather we've had here the last few days. The fact that I might actually have something I made to wear when we do get chilly! :) Florida, eh? Good coffee, good tea, books, reading, pop culture. The great music I love, the nearing release date of Star Wars (*rubs hands gleefully*) and much, much more.

Oh, now before I forget... This being Small Business Saturday, I'm going to (attempt to) keep this short so I can get out to some of my own local small businesses. If you're staying in and would like to still shop for your bookworms and friends, may I suggest, Passion's Sacred Dance? It's on sale (the ebook) for $.99 and the paperback also is a % off, through Monday, also, If you like steampunk or Victorian Romance, the paperback of Watchmaker's Heart is 10% off through Monday.

If you like candles and shiny stuff, my friend Beth is having a Grand Opening sale at her newly opened shop Seawitch Designs. She's got the best pagan themed and homemade themed candles, and some lovely new journals I'm drooling over. Also, Deborah Castellano's  Mermaid & Crow is having a sale. Details here. I love the look of her candles and her handspun yarn (can I just say, I'm too chicken to try working handspun yarn yet?!?) And don't forget The Forest Witch teas, if you have tealovers on your list.

Anyway, those are on my list.... So I'd better get a move on so I can make it to some of those local shops (who all seem to close early, for some reason!)

Anyway, I just wanted to stop in here, say a belated happy Thanksgiving/Turkey day holiday weekend, and I'll talk to you soon! Nano friends, keep writing! The finish line is in sight. Literally! I stopped just shy of my nightly goal, yesterday, so I should have a word count update for the Nanometer soon. :)  Enjoy your day!
