Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading.  This meme is simple and fun, you just pick up your current read, flip to a random page, and choose 1 or 2 teaser sentences to share!  Here are the guidelines:

• Open to a random page

I just started this one so...

Mace staggered. He pulled the sugar-sweet aroma into his being. The breath of life. As a boy, Mace carried the scent--all Halflings did. But as he'd gained his angelic power, the breath of life disappeared. One more reminder that earth was not his home.

(Nor is he allowed to fall for the cute Nikki. You can guess where this is going to go, girls, can't you?)
