Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesday is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading, but got the idea from Minx at Loose Knickers & Window Lickers. Anyone can play along! Just do the following: (and I'm following Jessica Rabbit's lead, here with two):
* Grab your current read two books from your shelf. { after all it is the second day of the week, so why shouldn't there be two teasers for you? }

* Open to a random page.

* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

P. 49: Two hours later, Keos hovered, formless, and watched as the ME from the alley drummed his fingertips on the top of a battered desk while he held a phone to his ear, waiting for someone to answer. “Chuck. Brad here. Remember the other day, you were telling me about that weird case you had where a throat got ripped out and it didn’t look like an animal did it?” The ME leaned back in his chair and listened for a minute.
