Tempted is a short story by paranormal romance author Rebecca Zanetti, recently released as a companion to her bestselling Dark Protectors series. Here, she introduces outcast vampire Max Petrovsky who is sworn to protect a little girl from their hated enemies the Kurjans. He’s also asked to collect a grown woman, one Sarah Pringle, lately confined to an insane asylum by her family. But, she might just be a vampire mate, so what’s Max to do? He goes after her, and catches her trying to escape the hospital and the Kurjans, and end up spending the night in an abandoned forest rangers’ office.

Things go on weird from there. They break into the hospital, steal Sarah’s files and end up in court. The goal of all this? Well, I don’t want to give away too much, as this is just a short story. You’ll have to read Tempted for yourself to learn all of its secrets. I won’t spoil it for you by saying why. You’ll just have to—yep, you guessed it—read the story yourself.
However, all in all being book 2.5 of five total (so far) in the series, Tempted, is a fair introduction to Rebecca Zanetti’s popular vampire romance series so if you’d like to check it out, it’s available on Kindle at Amazon, Sony, Itunes, and at Barnes and Noble.com for you Nook users. Unfortunately, as of this writing, the story's no longer free. Still, if you're curious I say give it a chance. Enjoy!
