Teaser Tuesday

 Aha, another Teaser Tuesday! Teaser Tuesday is hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading, but got the idea from Minx at Loose Knickers & Window Lickers. Anyone can play along! Just do the following: (and I'm once again following Jessica Rabbit's lead, here with two):
* Grab your current read two books from your shelf. { after all it is the second day of the week, so why shouldn't there be two teasers for you? }
* Open to a random page.
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

So for this week I have this one for you, from Robin Hobb's Dragon Keeper

p.37: "She looked again.  Young dragons wandered unsteadily on the clay beach.Some had ventured down to the water's edge.  Others clustered around the sagging cases of the failed dragons, tearing and eating. Of the deer that Tintaglia had brought and of the dead hatchling, scarcely a smear of blood remained..."

and from Anna Small's Tame the Wild Wind:
p 143: "Tyler’s gaze wandered back to her face, and the look he gave her made her grateful Jed was the one
who’d stayed behind on the ranch. Lord only knew what would’ve happened had Tyler been her sole company.

“What a helpful little thing she is,” Tyler cooed. “Most gals wouldn’t want to get their fingernails broken, but you got her running around the whole territory for you.”

There's mine for the week--and thanks to the gals that shared theirs last week, Lois and Miranda. I enjoyed reading yours. :)
